After a long summer holiday – with regret and relief, on my part – the children went back to school today!
And Hubby and I found ourselves drinking tea and eating breakfast TOGETHER ALONE outside in the sun. Bliss! Bliss! By happy coincidence I completed a work deadline yesterday and his apprentice is on holiday. So neither of us was even rushing… !
Sharing my small hour plans over breakfast soon swept Hubby’s peasant heart away. And so off we set together (more bliss) to the field above our house. Hubby set rabbit traps. And I picked nettles and sorrel. Surrounded by views of the mountains around our home it was a very happy small hour.
And Nettle soup tonight. (Luckily the children still prefer it to lentil soup… so there was not too much groaning!)
